How full brief works in practice.

A full brief is the complete prosecution disclosure package. It is distinguished from an initial or preliminary brief, which may be provided at an earlier stage and contains only basic documents. The full brief includes all witness statements, any CCTV or audio recordings, records of interview, forensic or expert reports, and any other material the prosecution relies on. In committal proceedings, the full brief must be served on the accused in advance of the committal hearing date so the defence can prepare cross-examination of prosecution witnesses.
